SCC concert!

If you know me at all... or at least if you've known me long enough, you know that my favoritest artist is Steven Curtis Chapman.  I know.  He's an old fogey.  :oP  But he does have great, new material!  (He also just became a grandpa!)

I believe this is my... 6th.. ish SCC concert?  :]  I've lost track.  haha.  I had to look at his discography to count the CDs that had tours that I went to.  :oP  There was one concert I have no recollection of but I had bought a very expensive t-shirt... so I must've went right?

This, I believe, was also my anniversary present.  :oP

Anyway... my husband is now my mandatory willing concert mate, and my old pal (from 6th grade, holla!) Courtney visited that weekend, so she went to the concert with us too!  It was in a random town an hour southwest in Shrewsbury, MA.

We got there kinda late so we got stuck behind this giant black screen by the sound booth.  BOO.

SCC opened.  OPENED with his openers and basically played alongside the whole concert.  LOVE that format.  It was really casual and fun and great.  :D

Andrew Peterson --- sings high.  Very high.

It was a great time.  :D  However, he mostly just played... through the years... which is mostly fun I think if you've been along for the ride through the years.  I enjoyed it but it also "sounded" like the past few concerts of his I've been to.  A little more so this time since his latest CD is most remixes of his older tunes  plus like 3 new songs (which he did 2 of at this concert).  (See the uuuuugly black screen that was in our way??  We couldn't see when we sat.)

We went to Costco the next day. :D

All in all, it was a fun time and I will probably go to more concerts out of love and loyalty.  :oP  But I may require some more new material next time, SCC!  ;]

So Heidi and Jobe were here visitng last week (can't believe it's almost been a week already!)  It was great fun.  Too short actually!  They flew into Maine and then drove down here, then continued their adventures at Niagara Falls and NYC, those lucky ducks!

I will post about their visit in a bit.  Maybe tomorrow.  But today.  We post about something more important.

Yes, that is the fine Ryan Reynolds.  Whom we've taken to call RR.

One of my favorite actors.  In the flesh.  Within air molecule sharing distance.  {{inhales}}  Then {{squeals}}!  :D  They are shooting RIPD (Rest in Peace Department) right here in Boston!  It's a movie coming out in 2013 about "a recently slain cop joins a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him" (imbd.com) yada yada yada have I mentioned Ryan Reynolds is in it?  :oP  (And Kevin Bacon and Jeff Bridges.)

We first saw them shooting on Saturday.  We went back Monday to see if they were still shooting but they weren't.  :(  But here's the spot where Mr. Reynolds was standing!

 There's been reports of RR walking his dog Baxter in the Boston Public Gardens (which we also went to but did not see him there.)  I found out where they were filming on Tuesday and a co-worker and I decided to go "check it out"... even though it was all the way in East Boston!  hahah.  But since it out was out a pier, all we could see was a bunch of film trailers/equipment, a buttload of cops, and a catering table.  :(  Apparently this co-worker has a friend who's actually working on the set!  They will be filming downtown again this weekend but I'm too busy to gooooo.  :(  Why can't they film during the weekends when I'm basically working downtown?!

This was one of the highlights when the Frondas were visiting.  And Boston is great.  :D  I'll let you know if I go stalk visit another filming location anytime soon...  Mr. Reynolds, please don't leave Boston yet!
